The
beggining of 00s was directed influenced by 90s. Many of the bands and solo
artists remained active and numerous younger colleagues joined them in the
music.
Post-grunge
artists then retained the emotive vocals and distorted guitars of grunge, but
with a much more polished and mainstream aesthetic. Grunge and post-grunge
bands included Sloan, Moist, the Matthew Good Band, Our Lady Peace, Hedley, Billy
Talent, Nickelback, Theory of a Deadman.and more bands.
After
some years, a lot of music genres was disseminated through the planet, with
internet and new ways of comunication, the information exchange became more
easier. Emocore was one of this genres, with origins from of hardrock and
characterized by melodic musicianship and expressive, often confessional
lyrics.

Hip
Hop has a significant participation in music scenario in 00s, with artists
like Outkast, Jay-z, Kayne West, Eminem, 50.cent, Usher and others. Pop music
too, with Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez, Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Rihana,

In
Brazil, the international music was present and here the progression of Emocore
and Hip Hop was similar from U.S.A. Some pop rock bands emerged too, like
Skank, Detonautas and Jota Quest.
